Student of the MontH
My name is Shealie Dunigan and I am a dual-enrolled student headed into senior year. I have been with Keystone since the beginning of my high school career, and I am so glad to have been given the opportunity to learn through this school. Due to the fact that Keystone students use their resources to pace themselves, I have learned how to properly schedule out my time so that I may be efficient and maintain my 4.0 GPA. My major future goal is to become an Elementary school teacher. I feel that I will be able to make my difference in the world by helping to shape young children's lives. I plan to attend a four-year university, where I will be able to complete a bachelor's degree, as well as a master's. I also hope to become a professor of Elementary Education one day.
Though education is my main focus, I am also a participant in many extracurricular activities. These include dancing, dance teaching, formerly leading the Keystone book club, participating in the Keystone Leadership Society, volunteering, and completing activities through my college honors society, Phi Theta Kappa. Dance has been a major influence throughout my life. Through dance, I have learned the importance of expressing emotion and learning how to be patient with myself, as well as others. Similarly, I have also been given the opportunity to train young dancers. This has given me the motivation to continue teaching children, throughout my future career. I live in Massachusetts with my sister, mother, father, and spunky sweet Jack Russell, Lily Moose.
